Editorial Policy
GuardPilot uses an evidence-first editorial process for software research, reviews, comparisons and buying guides.
Source hierarchy:
- Primary sources: official product pages, documentation, pricing pages, legal terms, partner or affiliate terms, and vendor announcements.
- Independent secondary sources: reputable publications, technical reviews and verified industry data.
- Community signals: forums, Reddit, Quora and user discussions may be used as context, but they are not treated as proof of a product claim.
Facts, analysis and uncertainty
If a price, feature, commission, cookie window, payout term or program status cannot be verified from a reliable source, we label it as "Not reported", "Pending confirmation", or similar wording.
We distinguish documented facts from analysis. We avoid claiming hands-on testing unless that testing actually occurred.
Updates
Software changes quickly. We may update articles when pricing, features, partner terms or official documentation changes.
Commercial relationships
Some links may be affiliate links. Compensation does not guarantee inclusion, a positive review or a higher ranking.
Read the affiliate disclosure.
AI and automation
AI and automation may assist with organizing research and drafting content. Generated text is not evidence: product claims need supporting sources, and uncertainty must remain visible.
Request a correction
Send a correction or source suggestion. Include the article link, the exact statement in question and a source we can check. We review correction requests against the available evidence.
